Plate armor

Equipment, Armor

Full plate; rare and made only by elves and dwarves.

From the book

Full plate armor is the finest protection in the lists: Type VI, absorbing 6 points of damage per attack, but with -3 on Dexterity saves. It costs 2000+ G.P. and is rare, since only elves and dwarves in the Atlantean world know how to make it.

It counts as 40 lb. of encumbrance, about half its actual weight. Under the optional wear rules, a fall of 20 ft. or more gives it a 5% chance of needing replacement and 50% of repair. Orichalc enchantment takes 7 ingots per +1. Spell casters other than paladins cannot wear it.
