An armorer's hall lined with racks of swords, spears and shields, a smith at a glowing forge, and a trident statue in a sunken city beyond.

Type II armor

Equipment, Armor

Stiffened leather or thick hides.

From the book

Type II armor is made of hard leather, heavy furs or hides. It absorbs 2 points of damage per attack and imposes no penalty on Dexterity saves. The price list has a single Leather Armor at 5 G.P. and does not say whether it is soft (Type I) or hard (Type II).

Spell casters may not wear it; paladins are the only exception. With the optional wear rules, a single attack of 20 or more points gives leather armor a 25% chance of needing replacement and a 50% chance of needing repair.
