Leather armor

Equipment, Armor

Basic leather armor.

From the book

Leather armor costs 5 G.P. Soft leather is Type I, absorbing 1 point of damage per attack; hard leather is Type II, absorbing 2. Neither affects Dexterity saves.

With the optional wear rules, immersion in salt water gives leather a 5% chance of needing replacement and 15% of needing repair, and a single hit of 20+ points gives 25% and 50%. Repair runs 20-50% of the replacement cost, and tinkers charge 2-8 C.P. to clean and polish armor. Spell casters other than paladins cannot wear it.
