Powders of Conjuration
Alchemy, Magical mixture
The material component required for all conjuring spells; any dead creature yields only seven drams regardless of size.
From the book
Powders of conjuration are made from 7 drs. of animal ingredients, chosen to suit the creature to be conjured, and every conjuring spell needs them as a material component. A dead creature gives only 7 drs. of usable material, however large or heavy it was. Unlike inks and oils, the powders can be stored however the maker likes. High-level thaumaturges know these powders so well that they can build homonculi from up to twelve ingredients.
Magical mixtures are prepared with a mortar and pestle, a small cauldron or crucible and a dependable heat source such as a lamp or furnace. Each takes a day to make, with a 90% chance of success plus 1% per level of ability (99% at most), and every one of them gives off a faint magical aura. Most sell for 100-200 G.P., the price depending on the quality of the ingredients.
