Following a conversation by watching the speaker's lips, without having to get within earshot.

Lip-reading lets a character eavesdrop on a conversation without coming within earshot. It works every time (100%) so long as the character can see the speaker's lips and understands the language. A spyglass stretches the distance at which it can be used. Spies learn it at first level.
