Catwalk

Skill, Thieving

Balance for crossing narrow footing such as beams, fence tops and wall tops; with enough practice it extends to tightropes.

From the book

Catwalk is the balance needed to cross narrow footing such as beams, fence tops and the tops of walls without falling. At first the character can manage surfaces about 10 inches wide with ease, and each level of ability trims an inch off that minimum. Once it reaches 1 inch, even a tightrope is fairly easy.

While catwalking a character moves at no more than half Speed, and anyone attacked while balancing must save vs DEX or fall. Assassins learn it at first level.
