Witch Hunter

Profession, dual-classed

A dual-classed hunter and mystic who specializes in hunting spell casters. Witch hunters are spell casters themselves and wear no armor.

CombinesHunter + Mystic

From the book

Witch hunters combine the hunter and the mystic and are perhaps the strangest characters of the Atlantean Age. A few are tied to a church or religious body, but most work independently and take only the jobs they choose.

Like most bounty hunters they are usually chaotic, but unlike those mercenaries a professional witch hunter often specializes in pursuing spell casters, work dangerous enough that their fees usually match a bounty hunter's top rates; those who serve a church generally waive the fee or keep only a small share of the bounty and give the rest to charity. As spell casters themselves they cannot wear any armor. They may hunt alone or with adventurers.

Most spell casters distrust them and some will hire bounty hunters or assassins against them. Famous witch hunters may be given names such as 'wizard hunter' or 'priest hunter' after their favored prey, labels meant to brand rather than flatter.
