Copper holds protection and passivity. Powdered copper is one of the three metals in every potion base, joins marid's hair in the Potion of Free Action, and lends its calm to Dust of Passive Action. Its essence, amber True Copper, gives a ring, necklace or cloak +1 defense for each week of daily dousing, up to +4.
Copper is also the humblest talisman metal, able to hold spells of level 1-2; it sets amulets against disease and drunkenness, is the metal of Venus (green ink), and goes into orichalc and vitriol.
