Silver

Silver is a third-order magical activator, the weakest of the three precious metals that awaken other ingredients. A dram goes into every potion base and every alchemical dust, and 2 drs. into the Potions of Emotional Influence and Detect Magic; it also joins gold and platinum in Potions of Control.

Its essence, clear True Silver, turns a ring into a store for 1-6 spells after two weeks of dousing. Silver bears talisman spells of level 3-4, sets amulets against curses and possession, and is the Moon's metal, used with blue ink.
