An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Poison Needle Ring

Alchemy, Alchemical device

A ring whose stones, pressed correctly, release a tiny needle from the palm or back side that can be coated with venom.

From the book

A ring of at least 1 oz. of any metal, set with a number of stones that may be fake or genuine as the owner prefers. Pressing the right stone or stones makes a needle a quarter of an inch long spring out, either on the palm side or on the back of the ring, and its tip can be coated with whatever venom the wearer chooses.

Every alchemical device needs a work area or laboratory plus two tool sets costing 25 G.P. each, one for metal and one for glass. A device takes a week to build (the Rod of Detection takes two), and the chance of success is 75% +2% per level of ability.
