An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Poison Antidote

Alchemy, Herbal remedy

Works like the insect venom antidote but against any poison or venom.

From the book

This is the broader version of the insect venom antidote: it heals 2-16 points of damage and halts the toxin within a minute, but it works on any poison or venom at all. It is made from any three of alkanet, basil, tamarisk, thistle and trefoil. Giving it to a victim of Powder of False Death also ends that powder's death-like coma early.

As with every herbal remedy, this is among the most primitive kinds of low magic. Instead of weighed measures, the best parts of an entire plant, fresh or dried, are boiled in a fluid ounce of clear water using a small bowl or pot; no mortar and pestle is needed. Brewing takes 40 + 1-20 minutes and succeeds 99% of the time. Where such remedies are sold, a dose usually costs around 100 G.P.
