Incubus/​Succubus

An incubus or succubus is the offspring of an arch demon's unholy coupling with a human spell caster. Smaller than other greater demons but no weaker, they are in some respects more dangerous thanks to their magic and cunning. On their home planes they are advisers and consorts to the seven arch demons, who often send them to the prime material plane to spy or carry out dark errands. Since they can take any humanoid shape whenever they like and hold it indefinitely, they are ideal for such secret work.

Their piercing gaze can charm people, and humans, especially those of the opposite sex, are particularly vulnerable; a victim of the opposite sex saves against it at -4. They themselves cannot be charmed this way or affected by control spells of any kind. Anger or any attack forces them back into their true demonic form unless they save vs WILL; they recoil from holy symbols and cannot enter temples or churches or set foot on consecrated ground. In a fight they try to strangle their foes with their strong hands, and like vampires they drink their victims' blood. They can see invisible beings and speak in tongues at will.

A summoned incubus or succubus demands a living human of the opposite sex, whom it takes back to its own plane once its service is done. Under a pact it will, like other greater demons, perform one service or grant a limited wish. Without a suitable offering, it tries to seduce or kidnap someone dear to the summoner, a close friend or relative, and carry them off instead.
