The largest and strongest lesser demons: giant winged insects with human-like faces, spiny legs and yellow-to-green shells, serving as aerial troops against devilkind. Their acidic venomous bite, armor-rending forelegs and loud buzzing make them feared; they serve for an offering of small animals.

Demon locusts are the biggest and strongest lesser demons. On their home plane they mostly fly in support of the demon hordes in their endless war against the devil legions, and small groups are sometimes sent to destroy people and creatures that stumble or intrude into the Nether Realms.
They look like huge winged insects with dreadful, almost human faces. A hard shell, dull yellow to green, covers the body, and all six legs are lined with sharp spines and barbs. In battle they are savage: their clawed forelegs rip through leather armor easily, and their very poisonous bite oozes an acid-like venom. They fly strongly enough to carry off a human-sized victim, and their wings make a hideous droning audible a thousand feet away. They like to attack while hovering, when they can strike with as many as four claws at once, but will land to eat those they have killed or knocked down.
Being barely intelligent, they accept small animals or vermin as offerings and devour them on the spot. If a pact is struck, a demon locust will perform any one service, provided it is extremely simple.
