Instils one of three emotions in a target toward a person the caster names: love, hatred, or indifference. Intelligent victims may try to break free once per day.

Stirs a strong emotion in one individual or creature within 100 ft., who must save vs Will to resist. The caster picks one of three feelings. Love makes the subject fall helplessly in love with the caster or with anyone the caster names. Hate makes the subject deeply hostile toward the chosen person or people, ready to attack at the smallest provocation. Ambivalence leaves the subject with mixed feelings toward the chosen people, so that they will neither help nor hinder them.
The feeling lasts indefinitely or until dispelled, though an intelligent victim may save vs Will once each day to shake it off.

A scene
Captain Brannoc of the Ys harbor guard has hated Deri the Druas mage on sight for a decade, and he is walking over now with his hand on his sword. Deri whispers the planet's name and chooses carefully. The captain slows, stops, and looks at the Druas with an expression of mild, puzzled indifference. He has no reason to arrest her. He has no reason to help her either. He wanders away. Each dawn he may shake the feeling off. Deri plans to be gone by then.
