The caster identifies a single potion, elixir, powder, dust, gas or venom. It has to be in his possession when he casts the spell.

A scene
The little vial from a stall in the Sea Nymph Bazaar cost the young nobleman a month's allowance, and the stallholder swore it was the finest love potion in Atlantis. His friend, a sorcerer of some reputation, holds it up to the window, turns it once in his fingers and closes his eyes. A moment later he opens them and hands it back with a perfectly straight face. It is, he explains, a very ordinary purgative, of the kind given to constipated horses. The nobleman goes pale, then red, and marches back to the bazaar.
