The caster examines an area up to 10x10x10 ft., or any object, device or creature, to learn whether it is protected by or under the sway of any spell, curse or trap. The spell reveals the exact nature and strength of every enchantment found. It lasts 1 minute, and he has to stand no more than 1 ft. from whatever he is studying.

A scene
The silver necklace arrived at the merchant house in Tartessos with a letter of friendship from a rival family.
