Throwing stars sold twelve for 1 G.P. in the missile weapons list. Each weighs about 1/10 lb. and deals 1-2 damage, and no Strength minimum is given.
Being thrown by hand, they are effective out to 5 ft. per point of the thrower's Strength, with long range reaching 10 ft. per point. Long throws take the non-proficiency penalty, which can be doubled against a target taking evasive action.
