The bastard sword weighs 10 lb., deals 1-12 damage, and needs a Strength of 12. It sells with its scabbard for 20 G.P. in the hand weapons list.
A single dose of venom coats one sword of any size until its first successful hit on a target. Forging a magical sword with orichalc takes 2 ingots per +1, and master smiths such as dwarves can craft superior swords at up to ten times the list price.
