The mace weighs 10 lb., deals 2-8 damage, needs a Strength of 8, and costs 4 G.P. It shares its line on the damage chart with the flail.
The mace is one of the blunt weapons the book names for the Waylay ability, used by rogues, corsairs, bounty hunters and some spies to knock a victim unconscious with one blow. Waylay can be tried only when the target is attacked from behind or caught by surprise.
