Starr

Starr lies on Alba's east coast next to Arden and Avalon. There a tiny band of semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers lives here, moving to upland pastures in summer and to southern woods near the edge of Arden in winter. They are tall and brown-skinned with light hair, and wear long, flowing robes.

The Starrians follow the region's red deer herds. They use no metal at all, only stone, wood, bone, antler and leather, and their tools are serviceable rather than fine. They rarely trade and avoid everyone except the Faerie Folk of Arden. Pacifists by nature, they follow an ancient mystic cult of the Old God Tama and want neither power nor riches, so gold and other precious things mean little to them.

Good hunters but poor fighters, they are few and live hard lives under threat from neighboring tribes, and they choose seclusion whenever they can. Oddly, Arden's Sidhe generally accept them and are usually friendly.
