Ogleostra is the biggest island in the Mediterranean, and Tharshesh badly wants it for its strategic location, good harbors and rich agate deposits. For many years, however, the native Sardana tribes have driven off every Tharshi attempt to settle. The island is covered with countless dry-stone nuraghi, tower-like forts that let the whole population take defensible shelter the moment raiders appear, and smoke and fire signals link every nuragh, giving the Sardana a further defensive edge.
