The great underground fortress of the Rhiphaen dwarves, seat of their king and army, where ore from all outposts is smelted and forged and gems and surplus ingots are kept in guarded vaults.

Ironhold is the heart of the Rhiphaen dwarves' underground realm, a fortress of impressive size that houses the dwarven king, his retinue and most of the army. An orderly web of tunnels spreads from it to lesser outposts, mines and caverns, patrolled by armored dwarven platoons.
Ore wagons from every mine, some traveling underground for weeks, unload here before heading back with food and supplies. The ore is smelted into ingots that the smiths forge into tools, weapons, armor and all kinds of implements, and the finest gems, along with surplus gold and silver ingots, are locked in heavily guarded vaults.
