A heavily guarded state museum tied to the Institute of Knowledge, displaying hundreds of First Age artifacts and funding expeditions through a ten-scholar council.
From the book
A large museum complex linked to the Institute of Knowledge. Hundreds of ancient artifacts, many from the vanished First Age, are on show, and countless more are kept in vaults beneath it. The government-backed society pays for archaeological and exploring ventures of all sorts: a council of ten scholars decides which missions to fund and grants 2,000-20,000 gold pieces to qualified adventurers and explorers willing to work for it. Government sentries guard the museum heavily.
