Atlantydes

Old human maps give this name to five big islands and a scatter of small ones far out in the Atlantean Ocean, the southernmost lying on the loose border with the Forgotten Sea. Men no longer sail there and the isles have dropped out of human history. To the Tritons of Antilla they are the Islands of Solitude. Atlantean libraries hold ancient accounts, but most scholars now write them off as First Age sailors' yarns. The northernmost islands are said to be mild, growing colder and harsher to the south, and all are said to hold nothing but birds and a few small animals.

The strangest tale comes from a seaman named Glaucus, found by Tritons adrift in a small boat in mid-ocean. He claimed to have sailed with an archaeological expedition in the last days of the First Age that found tumbled, overgrown, half-buried megalithic ruins on most of the islands and a vast pyramid of unknown origin atop a cliff on the southernmost. Scholars dismiss his story as legend or madness.
