The Giant Races: overview

Creature, The Giant Races

Giants ruled the world before men. When they tried to seize the heavens the ancient gods defeated them, and the survivors withdrew to the far corners of the earth.

Also called The Giant Races

From the book

According to Solmeht the Chronicler, giants walked the world before humankind: vast and fearsome beings whose footsteps shook the ground. The earth was theirs, yet that did not satisfy them, and they went to war with the ancient gods to take the heavens as well. The gods won, the giants fell, and the survivors withdrew to the most distant corners of the world to brood over their defeat, leaving the earth to be inherited by men.

Every giant race shares two traits in play: a bonus of at least +2 on saves vs Strength, and an extra +1 damage on each attack because of sheer size. The chapter covers the lemures, aegir, cyclops, fomorian, yeti, aesir and jotun.
