The Order of the Grand Circle is a royal order of knighthood whose founders were Avalon's first king and queen; many of its members still live in Avalon. Its charge is to defend Avalon and to spread the kingdom's lawful and good ideals. Its highest principles are courage, compassion and skill at arms, and no one joins unless appointed by Avalon's reigning king or queen.
