Gremlins

Creature, Demons

The smallest minor demons, under six inches tall, green with iridescent butterfly wings and spiked tails and heads. Telepathic, able to turn invisible, superb spies and dodgers, they fight with needle spears tipped with a sleep venom and slip through magical gates to cause havoc.

From the book

Gremlins are the tiniest minor demons, seldom taller than six inches. Most are green, with shimmering butterfly wings, and their heads and tails often bristle with rows of tiny blue, yellow or black spikes.

They have several odd talents. They can fly, are natural telepaths with E.S.P. reaching 10 feet, can turn invisible whenever they like, and are expert spies and eavesdroppers. Like imps they can sense magic, though only by touching it. Their bites and claws are about as harmful as a mouse's, but they make up for it with blinding speed; in flight they are almost impossible to hit, and no flying demon is more agile. They also fight with needle-like spears whose tips are smeared with a sticky venom, a recipe known only to gremlins, that drops a victim into a magical sleep lasting 5-10 minutes unless it saves vs CON.

Like some other demons they are good at finding magical gates and dimensional doorways (a gremlin spots a gate with a successful save vs INT), and a surprising number use them to slip into the prime material plane and cause all kinds of mischief. Spell casters can summon them, and they are said to make handy familiars.
