Onyx carries darkness and invisibility. A carat with sapphire and vampire's blood makes a Potion of Gaseous Form; two carats turn invisibility ingredients into Dust of Disappearance, or join lead in Dust of Non-Detection, hiding objects and traps from all magical detection. A necromancer's uzat, an eye-shaped amulet holding seven spells, is built around a 13 ct. onyx mounted in 7 oz. of gold. It costs 10 G.P. per carat.
