Amber is tied to immunity from disease. Set in copper, it makes an amulet giving 95% immunity to every kind of disease; set in gold, it makes an amulet that grants +1 saves against death spells. Alchemists also burn it with aloes wood, anise and crocus as Fumes of Spirit Evocation, calling up a spirit that truthfully answers one question about the place. At 1 G.P. a carat it is one of the cheaper stones.
