Jade stands for longevity and life force, and is one of alchemy's workhorse stones. Two carats go into the Potion of Healing with sulfur and troll's blood, and a carat helps make the Potions of Immunity to Petrification, Poison and Drunkenness. Ten carats, representing life force, go into aqua vitae, the water of life that animates golems and homonculi. It costs 5 G.P. per carat.
