The garrotte weighs only 1/10 lb. and costs 2 C.P. under miscellaneous weaponry. It deals 1-6 damage every round and has no Strength minimum.
Along with the dagger, the garrotte is the tool most often used for the Assassinate ability, because it is easy to conceal and fast to use. Assassinate only works against a victim who can be attacked from behind or surprised. A magical Garotte of Strangling adds 25% to the chance of any assassination attempt.
