A clear liquid, one fluid ounce, that can make any ring into a spell-storing item. After two weeks of daily dousing, the ring can hold 1-6 spells of any type, and it has to be recharged once they are used up.
Only the alchemist who made the essence can do the dousing, an hour every day, and missing a single day ruins the enchantment.
