A range along Hyperborea's south coast and into its interior, dividing Cimmeria from Haloga, rich in iron, tin, copper and gold and contested by dwarves, Rock Trolls and Vanir. Hippogriffs are common on its slopes, but its dominant peoples live beneath it.

The Rhiphaen range follows Hyperborea's southern coast and runs into the middle of the island, forming a natural border between Cimmeria and Haloga. Rich in iron, tin, copper and gold, it has long been fought over by the dwarves, the Rock Trolls and, more recently, the Vanir.
Trees and shrubs cover the lower slopes; above the tree line grow only mosses and bracken. The southern and central ranges hold many strange and dangerous beasts, hippogriffs above all, which are quite common. Yet the two peoples who truly dominate the mountains live not on the wooded foothills or rocky heights but deep inside them: the dwarves of Ironhold and their ancient enemies the Rock Trolls.
