The oldest Hesperian colony, a peninsula commanding the Saharan Straits between the River Oceanus and the Sahara Sea, where five naval squadrons try to bottle up Gorgon raiders. Its enslaved tan-skinned natives have lost their old culture and defer to women.

Electa is a vital peninsula colony guarding the Saharan Straits between the River Oceanus and the Sahara Sea. Maia and Taygea border it on the landward south, and sea surrounds the rest. Five naval squadrons at the port capital of Ea try to keep the Gorgons bottled up in the Sahara, though Gorgon ships sometimes slip or fight past to raid the Oceanus and Mediterranean shipping lanes.
It is the oldest Hesperian colony, and its native people have lost every link to their culture before the conquest. Wholly enslaved, they defer meekly to all women and to men who show the "good womanly" traits of firmness, dominance and decisiveness. In build and height they are average, with tan skin and dark brown hair.
