Solmeht the Chronicler sorts the humanoid peoples by the lands they call home: dwarves beneath the mountains, elves of forest and sea, the Ahl-At-Rab of the deserts, jungle-dwelling Naga and Korupira, Triton and Makara in the deep oceans, the winged Zephyr, and the Druas, whose beginnings no one yet knows. Beside these ancient races, he says, humankind with all its celebrated achievements is still in its childhood.
The chapter also includes the Nethermen, the human-goblin hybrids bred long ago, and treats the serpent-bodied Nagaraja as a caste of the Naga.
