Spirit entities
Summoned creature, Creature class
Beings of the spirit planes (the elemental plane, Valhalla, Olympus and others) who must take physical form when called to the material plane. Mostly neutral, they range from shy nature spirits and hostile lesser elementals to proud true elementals, loyal heavenly servants and the aloof irin.
From the book
Spirit entities make their homes on spirit planes like the elemental plane, Valhalla or Olympus. Though nearly insubstantial there, they must put on physical bodies whenever they are called into the prime material plane. The majority are neutral, though guardians and devas may be linked to lawful good deities, and their tempers vary widely. Nature spirits are withdrawn and almost shy unless someone is foolish enough to anger them, lesser elementals are often very hostile to humans, and the true elementals, once revered as demi-gods, are haughty and quick to violence when disrespected.
The heavenly kerubim, devas and guardians are modest and loyal, and they gladly aid summoners who have kept faith with their patron deity. The irin, or Watchers, were banished to the astral plane for seeking every secret of the heavens; they now watch all that happens on the material plane and will answer one question in their field, but have sworn never again to meddle with gods or men. Priests, druids and shamans generally seal pacts easily with spirits suited to their calling.
