The caster, or anyone the caster chooses, takes on the size, shape, looks and abilities of any one type of creature; the undead, demons, devils and outer-plane beings are excluded. It lasts 1 hour, and another person must be touched to receive it. A willing subject gets no save; an unwilling one can save vs Constitution to avoid it.

A scene
The Sargo Tritons would speak only to their own kind, so the magician Nerissa became one of them. She stood in the surf off Antilla, spoke the spell and felt her body change: her skin turning pale green and smooth, her fingers webbing, gills opening along her neck like a second set of lungs. She dived, and the sea welcomed her. She swam down among the Tritons of the plateau as one of them, swimming as they swam and breathing their water. She had exactly one hour to learn what she had come for.
