Conjure Simulacrum
Spell, Enchantment, level 7
Creates a loyal duplicate of a creature, with its abilities and imperfect memories, using a piece of the original.
From the book
The caster makes an exact copy of one person or creature (not undead, demons, devils or beings from the outer planes), using a bit of the original's hair, nail clippings, blood or the like. The copy has the original's abilities, level and hit points, and most of its memories, though some are wrong or missing: whenever it meets a friend or associate of the original, the Game Judge rolls a save vs the simulacrum's Intelligence, and on a failure it does not recognize that person.
The simulacrum thinks and acts for itself but obeys its creator faithfully. Detect Magic, True Sight and some other spells reveal what it truly is. It lasts indefinitely, but can be killed or destroyed like any normal creature. A caster can never make more than one simulacrum of the same individual.

A scene
The Minister of Rites in Tang was ill, and the magician Huang needed him at the Emperor's reception, so he made another. With a lock of the Minister's hair he shaped a copy, perfect in face, voice and bearing, that bowed to him and asked its duties. It performed flawlessly all evening. Then the Minister's old steward came up to greet it, a man who had served him for thirty years, and the simulacrum looked at him blankly. Huang stepped in quickly and steered it away, sweating.
