Enchants an object or area to hold one spell and release it on a set trigger.

From the book

The caster enchants something non-living, whether an object or a place, for instance a chest, corridor or statue, so that it holds one spell of up to fifth level. The trap can be set to release its spell under whatever condition the caster chooses, for example when an intruder touches the object, walks into a particular area, or says a certain word or phrase. A scene

Gao, a thaumaturge in Tang, had lost too many rare ingredients to thieves. So he enchanted the lid of his medicine chest with one of his own spells, and set it to go off if anyone touched the chest without first saying the name of his grandmother's village. That night, a young burglar slipped in through the shutters and lifted the lid. A length of hemp rope lying in the corner leapt up and bound him hand and foot. In the morning, Gao found him lying on the floor, and made him tea.
