Invokes the law of equivalence so that anyone who physically harms the caster takes the same damage; it does not work against magic or missiles.

Invokes the law of equivalence around the caster. For 1 minute per level of ability, anyone who strikes the caster in a physical attack suffers the same damage they inflict. It gives no protection against magic or missile weapons, and it cannot be used to transfer the benefit of healing or curative magic, nor to multiply it. Only astrologers and mages may learn it.

A scene
The bouncer at a dockside tavern in Tartessos is a Netherman built like a door, and he does not care that the little mage in the corner has paid for her wine. He swings a fist. Ilana has just finished tracing the scales on the tabletop, and when the blow lands on her cheek, the Netherman reels back clutching his own face, lip split in exactly the same place as hers.
