Sympathetic healing: using a small doll of wood, grass or straw and a touch, the caster restores hit points to one living creature.

The first of the shaman's image spells works sympathetic healing. The caster needs a small figure, a doll shaped from wood, grass or straw, and must touch the person being treated. The spell then mends 3 points of damage for each of the caster's levels of ability, and it can help any single living creature. No save is involved.

A scene
The hippo came out of the reeds of the Zimba river without a sound, and now Kwabena lies on the bank with his thigh laid open. The shaman Adwoa kneels beside him, twisting a doll out of green river grass with quick, practiced fingers. She binds a strip of Kwabena's torn loincloth around the little figure's leg, lays her other hand flat on his chest, and hums. Under her palm the torn muscle knits and the bleeding slows to a seep. The wound is still there, raw and angry, but he will walk home on it.
