The caster prays to their deity for guidance and receives an answer to any one question. Such a prayer is never refused, and the answer is always true, but it will always be somewhat vague or cryptic, leaving the caster to interpret it. There is no save. Only practitioners of Divine Magic may learn this spell.

A scene
The merchant's daughter was taken from the market in Tang three days ago and the magistrates have found nothing. Old Liang, a priest of Shang-Ti, lights incense in his small shrine and asks one question: where is the girl? The answer comes as it always does, clear in his heart but tangled in meaning. She sleeps where the red bird cannot see. Liang turns the words over for an hour. Then he sends the magistrate's runners to search every cellar within sight of the Gate of the Red Bird.
