By speaking the deity's name the caster raises a protective circle against one chosen type: undead, demons or devils, lasting while concentration holds.

Simply by speaking the name of their patron deity, the caster raises a protective circle as wide as 7 ft. Before casting, the caster must choose what it guards against: undead, demons or devils. The circle lasts as long as the caster keeps total concentration on it. Only practitioners of Divine Magic may learn this spell.

A scene
The wraiths come down the barrow passage in a cold rush, and the priest Idwal has time for nothing but the name of his god. He speaks it aloud, and a circle of pale light seven feet across springs up around him and the wounded girl at his feet. The dark riders strike its edge and recoil. They circle, hissing, but they cannot cross. Idwal kneels in the center, eyes shut, his whole mind fixed on the prayer. If his thoughts waver even once, the circle will fall.
