Warrior
Profession, single-classed
The most common highly trained fighter, found in civilized and uncivilized cultures alike. Specializing only in combat, warriors rise quickly, gain extra attacks sooner than other fighters and may take any number of weapon specializations.
From the book
Warriors are the most widespread of the highly trained fighting professions and appear in nearly every culture, civilized or not. As single-classed specialists in combat they advance quickly in level, gain multiple attacks earlier than other highly trained fighters, and unlike them may hold any number of weapon specializations.
Because their first training centers on weapons, at 1st level they cannot become proficient in weaponless techniques such as martial arts, boxing or wrestling, but from 2nd level they may learn any skill.
Warriors can be of any alignment and earn a living many ways depending on their skills: with thieving skills they may turn brigand or pirate alongside rogues, corsairs or charlatans; with woodlore they may trap, trade or scout; and combat-focused warriors serve as mercenaries or enlisted soldiers, rising through military ranks. The Game Judge is advised that warriors start with the weapons of their homeland and that N.P.C. warriors' gear should reveal their culture and nationality.
