Tiny glass lenses worn directly over the eye, much like modern contact lenses, sold at 5 G.P. a pair.
Only alchemists can employ them. An alchemist wearing cusps sees in the dark to 60 ft., but they cannot be worn longer than an hour without risking permanent eye damage (a 5% chance of blindness for each 10 minutes over the limit), and they cannot be combined with other optical devices. Alchemists make them from prism glass with a single drop of elf, dwarf or goblin blood added.
