An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Holy Symbol

Alchemy, Holy item

Held by a priest or mystic, it keeps undead, demons and devils at bay unless they resist, and is needed in some summoning rituals.

From the book

When a follower of Divine Magic or Mysticism wields it, this symbol holds back undead, demons and devils: each turn they must save vs WILL or be unable to come near the wielder. Holy symbols also have a part in summoning rituals, such as the sealing of a pact.

One can be made in a single day for 1 s.p. of materials in wood, 1 g.p. in silver, or 5 g.p. or more in gold. They can also be bought from shops that deal in religious goods. Holy items can be made only by practitioners of Divine Magic or Mysticism.
