The Sea of the Dead is a cold, gloomy sea well to the north of Atlantis, roughly hemmed in by Atlantis, Mediterranea, Hyperborea, Jotunland and Anostos. It is a strange, mysterious place known for sea-dragons and huge icebergs, with summers of endless daylight and winters of deepest night. Its islands run from grim haunts of wicked beasts to Ogygia, a beautiful garden isle, and those who sail it can expect adventure, for both wonders and dangers abound.
