The city's middle ring is devoted to sport, parks and sentry posts, with ball courts, track and field grounds and wrestling arenas. Its carefully kept parks are richly decorated with statues of marble, bronze and ivory. Public docks line the surrounding walls, and sentries patrol the zone very regularly.
