This sacred grove, planted with many kinds of trees and flowers, is the center of Atlantean worship, and the rites performed here for Poseidon have not changed since the First Age. Spring water flowing from the Baths of Poseidon is piped underground to the grove and circles it three times. At its heart stands a silver-plated pyramid shrine that houses the chief clergy, both men and women, of Poseidon, Cleito and Atlas, and more than three dozen priests and acolytes look after the grounds.
