The Tritons call the old First Age capital of Atlantis Attalus and say it survives largely intact on the ocean floor, where it now serves as the capital of their vast undersea empire. Sailors add that a large Triton tribe lives among these sunken ruins off the southwestern coast of Atlantis. Other drowned cities lie some way to its north, south and northeast.
